NightMaiden ArtFire Artisan

I was taught to always let your imagination run. Never hide the gifts and talents that you were given. I grew up with the love of photography and creating jewelry.

All of this began when I tried to save money on my wedding by creating all the jewelry myself. From there NightMaiden Designs was born. As I grew along with the business, I took a path less traveled. I began creating items with a metaphysical theme. Items that by using stones and gems that come from the earth and putting them into a creation that utilizes their true and natural properties.

As far as I go, I am Irish and have a love of all living creatures. I am an avid animal rescuer and took that passion to my job. I was a vet tech until I got married.

I also have a passion for awareness causes. I support many causes and even create awareness pieces so that others can show their support.

Jennuine Candles ArtFire Artisan

ABOUT JENN and the CREATION of JENNUINECANDLES
By day and for the past 13 years, I have been an Occupational Therapist. I currently work with the older adult population in an assisted living/memory care environment, but have worked in pediatrics as well . I have the opportunity, on a daily basis, to maximize the lives of our residents and to help them live a higher quality of life. Rewarding? Most definitely. Stressful? Unfortunately. Over the course of my career, I have experienced countless moments of joy and sorrow which has led me to understand the true meaning of living life for every moment. And with this, I opened myself up to the "art" of art. Over the past 4 years, my husband and I have become photography hobbyists; I absolutely enjoy capturing the beautiful creations of nature and we go on adventures as often as possible. I have dabbled in the crafts of sewing and jewelry making, as well. And most recently, in a desire to continue expanding my creative side, I started making Palm Wax candles. When I first started out making my candles, I only intended on making them for friends and family, and of course for my enjoyment as well. That is until my husband took a few of my candles to work to burn at his desk while he was working and then my "business" kind of bloomed from there. His co-workers started asking if I could make candles for them and then my co-workers got wind of my new creations and they started placing orders and the orders just kept coming from there, thus the creation of jennuinecandles.

The Supply Closet

Beading is addictive... the bug hit me several years ago and has taken over a significant area of my life :-) This shop allows me to share the addiction, and some great finds...

I'm working to load my current inventory and expect to expand the inventory further at the tail end of February. So please come back to see the new stuff :-)

I've been crafting since I was a child... both sides of grandparents and parents were crafters... over the years I've tried many things, most recently have been drawn to jewelry and glasswork. This shop is an outgrowth of my crafting passion... an opportunity to share uniqe finds to fuel the passion in others.

Hi, my name is Margo. Artistry and creativity are in my family genes and these genes have been passed onto me.
My creativity has many faces-- macrame, stained glass, knitting, crocheting, needle point, stenciling, faux painting, and a lot more. Jewelry design and creation is a fairly recent creative endeavor of mine.
This September I began my 5th year of designing and making jewelry-- I love to sell at craft fairs and have a number of my pieces in local boutiques and bridal stores. I also started selling on line this past August which has opened a whole new world for me.
My passion for creating new pieces of jewelry is constantly blossoming. There is still so much more to learn and so much more to create.

She Designs Jewelry Art Fire Artisan for the day

So today I am talking about an artisan that has some really great items in her shop. Please take the time to visit her and to tell your friends about the items in her shop.

Artisan's Bio:

Welcome to She Designs Jewelry! My name is Sheila Hendricks.
I am the youngest of three kids. My dad always called me "Shes"( pronounced more like Sheesh ) when I wasn't in trouble. Evidentally, Sheila was took hard for my nieces and nephews when they started talking. So I became "She" for several years until they all got older and could pronounce my name. So that is where I came up with She Designs Jewlery. It is a way of honoring my family whom I love and adore. As the nieces and nephews are getting older and going to college, I do miss the younger years!
I am addicted to beads! I will be in a shop and see a bead and it will just screams "BUY ME!" and I will! I do the same thing in the way that I create pieces. Sometimes a picture will be in my mind and it falls into place so easily! However, I sometimes will take out the beads and simply lay out different colors, shapes, sizes, until something catches my eye. This is a way of destressing in a odd way.
I am sure that you can tell as my designs are not of one single style. They are a bit eclectic. But that suits me as I am not one that likes everything to be matchy matchy. In my world, if I like the individual pieces, that makes them match. Crazy I know!
I started in the summer of 2007 and have not looked back. I love designing jewelry and it quickly became a passion! I have some new ideas swirling in my mind and will be working on them in the next few weeks. I hope to be sharing those with you soon!
I am currently having a 25% OFF SALE! The prices have been changed and reflect the SALE PRICE ! Sale goes through the end of May!
Welcome to She Designs Jewelry! My name is Sheila Hendricks. Please enjoy looking through all my lovely creations! I also take custom orders, so if you have something specific in mind, please let me know. I would love to create something unique for you!
I have some new ideas swirling in my mind and will be working on them in the next few weeks. I hope to be sharing those with you soon!

Thanks! Sheila Hendricks, She Designs Jewelry

Artisan's Bio:

Mom to two, wife to one, artist, crafter, designer, gardener, volunteer, recycler, cat, chicken and worm owner, uninspired cook, amazing housekeeper. So many hats and only two hands, strong hands with nimble -always busy- fingers and trashed fingernails.
My experience in needlework, sewing, miniatures, doll-making, painting, paper arts, jewelry, mixed media collage allow me to use many different skills and techniques to hand-craft my items.

I have made art and craft all my life, studied art history, spent far too much time in school, and finally realized MAKING things, beautiful things to hold and wear and hopefully pass down is where I find my bliss.

From the Artisan:

I use mixed media and a variety of techniques, new and recycled components to make my original designs. Whether your style is girly or goth, I might have something you'll love. If not... Alisuns Too ArtFire Artisan

Today and tomorrow I am promoting a wonderful artisan from Art Fire. She has some very wonderful pieces on her site...please take a peek.

Artisan's Bio:

My main focus at the moment is making jewelry. I've always loved jewelry and I hope to learn more from all of the talented artists on ArtFire. But it's not always been my creative outlet. I write, edit, knit, crochet, needlepoint, and embroider by hand. I have many items that can be sold in supplies and many that I just couldn't resist making that will end up in this studio.
Keep coming back for the studio will change often.

From the Artisan:

AlisunsToo is the store where in order to give good homes to unused supplies and vintage pieces (some were made 30 years ago) you Always Get Too For Won.
Here is the simple Too rule. Buy an item. Shop for another item OR ITEMS that equal the purchase price. Pay the shipping price ONLY if it weighs more than 13 oz.
That's it. Have fun shopping!
This is where you will find all my destash, and stuff that doesn't fit in my Alisun's Custom Crafted Jewelry store (www.alisuns.artfire.com).
Things will never be the same here, and I can't promise that I can recreate some of the things I've listed.
Have fun browsing!

Creating has been in my blood forever. First was sewing clothes for my kids when they were little and decorating the house. Then followed the art of quilting. I love the therapeutic nature of the hand quilting stitch and being snuggled into my finished creation.

Then came painting on any surface that didn't move. Our final stop has landed with jewelry. The wealth of beautiful beads and stones that are available gives constant inspiration allowing us to interpret them into fun or delicate and unique creations to accent your wardrobe and home.

I need some HELP/ADVICE

I have just learned about a site that I can promote my pieces on but I know nothing about the site. This site is kaboodle.com. I have tried to set up a syleboard, but for some reason it just continues to refresh the page. It's been doing that for about 10 minutes now. I am hoping that someone out here has some information as to how to use this site to benefit me and see if I can get my first sale. I have gotten lots of compliments on my pieces and I GREATLY appreciate those compliments. :) However, I have been trying to sell my pieces online for about 6 months now and still have not had a sale.

Should any one have any information on how to use this kaboodle.com or better ways to promote my items in the hopes that I can finally get that ever so shy first sale, I welcome any comments, whether they are to critique or compliment. Thanks in advance for any help any of you are willing to share with me. Have a great day and kudos to all.

P.S. Please check out this artisan, Silver River Jewelry. She has some absolutely beautiful pieces in her shop.
